Now recruiting for English teaching positions at Sheng Da College, Zhengzhou, China for the 2005-2006 academic year. Salary range 4000 to 5000 RMB/month with spacious, fully-furnished apartment, air conditioned bedroom, desktop computer with free ADSL Internet, television and other amenities. Round-trip airfare. General medical. The teaching schedule is 18 hours/week (nine, two-hour classes) plus two additional hours/week as a social corner for the students. The campus is situated in the countryside with a park/lake atmosphere. The college provides a shopping bus to the city center every Saturday.

The first term begins in late August, and ends in late January with a winter break (Spring Festival) of almost a month; and the second term begins in late February and ends in late June with a summer break of almost two months. A 1500 RMB bonus is paid for the winter break.
The Dean of Foreign Languages, Professor Shen Li, is a well-respected scholar in China, and he was once the personal interpreter for the late Premier Chou En Lai in the 1970s. His expectations for the students and the teachers are high, and he continually strives for excellence within his department.
Sheng Da College is located in Henan Province which is centrally located in China and one of the oldest areas to explore, culturally and historically. Weekend trips are adequate to see a lot of Chinese culture and history, not to mention the break periods which allow further exploration farther away.
